Try this to keep your almond milk, coconut milk or protein shakes cold longer..just set it still in the container down in your Yeti. If the container is small enough you could probably use the Yeti lid and stick the straw through it.
Leftovers from the restaurant
I hate those round metal containers with the clear plastic lids that restaurants give you for take home. When I get those and open them at home, I can never that plastic lid back on. I decided to start putting the whole bottom part of the container in a gallon ziplock bag. It works great!
Leftovers
When you have leftovers and put them away, put them in the container you plan to heat them up in. If it’s going to be heated for individual servings, use individual containers, if it’s going to be a large meal re-heat, and you’re going to use the microwave, put it in your microwave containers, if you’re going to reheat in the pot on the stove, put it away in the pot if you have room in the fridge. Save time by not doing extra containers!
Save your money!
If your budget is tight and you can’t afford the whole facial (cleansing, toning and moisturizing). Remember that cleanser is on for a matter of seconds so it doesn’t really have time for important ingredients to really get into the skin so save your money! Use a good cleanser of your choice and spend your money on a good moisturizer or lift and firm product if you’re over 40.
Extra straps
Things you can do with those extra purse straps.
I end up with many of these as I prefer the shorter straps. I now keep one in each car for an emergency dog leash just in case I forgot the leash when I take the dogs out.
You can also sell them on ebay as extra purse straps and make a little money to pay yourself back for the purse you bought!
An apple a day.. the easy way
I love apples with salt and I love to eat an apple without slicing it up but, sometimes eating one at work or while doing something else is difficult when you need to lay down the apple at times while multi tasking. I discovered that if I put my apple in a ziplock with salt in the bottom, I can roll it around in the bag to pick up salt as I need some and I eat it with the bag being the “wrapper” and when I need to set it aside I just pull the bag up over it and set it down.
I like my drinks strong!
I don’t like my iced latte, tea or diet coke to get diluted and seems that immediately starts to happen when you get one. So, anything I drink over ice, like tea from my favorite place, or my latte’s from the coffee shop. I take my Contiga or Yeti and instantly pour my drink into one of those and drink it from that rather then the cup it was served it. Tastes like the first drink every time.
Chill out!
One of the problems I have is that I carry bottled water of some sort with me all the time. Whether it’s just in a plastic bottle or in a Contiga or other container to keep things cold, when I go in some place that doesn’t allow outside food or drinks, it stays in the car and gets hot or at least cools off some. In the Texas summers, it gets hot. It is hot water when you get back. So I always take my container in the place in my purse and leave it in my purse with me inside the AC so when I leave it’s still a drinkable temp. I have even been known to do it with my Yeti even though it doesn’t seal tight.
Drink up!
Down to the last drop
Keeping the fridge safer and cleaner
I keep a tray on the bottom shelf of my fridge. This is where all raw meat goes that needs to thaw or is bought to be cooked later. If it leaks, I just clean the tray and put it back in. No more having blood get all over the refrigerator.
Unfortunately, plastic trays that don’t have open holes for carrying handles are hard to find for a decent price. Something similar to a lunch room or an old fashioned Sonic Drive In tray is what you need. If you can’t find one like that, use anything that works for you. Here is a link to a round one what would work. You may already have something you have in mind.
You could use a Tupperware or Rubbermaid dish or anything that works for you.
